I spent the better part of this morning and afternoon with Daniel going over photos from yesterday's lookbook shoot, and without getting too crazy, let me just say, everything turned out BETTER than expected.

For those of you who missed last month's event, we're doing it again!  Friday, August 26th!  Don't text me the day after asking how it was.  Be there, FOOL!
Yep, that's what I'm eating tonight for dinner.  It wasn't that long ago at all that I made a bold statement claiming I ONLY shoot on 35mm film.  I think that was before I had car payments, because I sold out, and I went digital.  For the techies, a Nikon D5100 to be exact.

Film costs money; a lot of it.  In order to update this blog as much as I'd like to, and as efficient as I'd like to, there was just no way I was going to be able to get it done, solely using film.

The processing, developing, oops we accidentally gave yours to a guy named "Bill';  Its happened.

Without further ado, I now present to you a completely raw picture I took in my backyard, using none other than my new camera.  No photoshop.  No gimmicks.

I'm down.

TRYING TIMES, ARE TESTING TIMES. -  They say patience is a virtue, but let's be real, I have never had it.  I have always been a grinder, a hustler, and maybe my greatest downfall, I am a dreamer.  I suffer from Dreamer's Disease.

A year ago we embarked on a journey that would give us the opportunity to go from "garage brand" to a bonafide Family Owned Small Business with a storefront, and I was terrified.  Over the span of a few months positive changes were happening and we became heavily invested in our small retail space.  Dubtree was growing.  We became friends and family with our neighbors, customers, fellow small businesses, and fur friends; it all seemed too good to be true... and it was.

Halfway through December it became apparent our time at 1826 E. Broadway had come to a sudden end.  Without having the ability to say goodbye to really anyone I humbly packed up our inventory and fixtures and waved the white flag.  This is/was not where we are supposed to be.  This is/was someone else's home, and we were just keeping the seats warm.

In the words of a dear friend, "an arrow must be pulled back to spring forward."  Or my personal favorite, "Every setback is a setup for a comeback."  This is not the end of Dubtree, nor is this a sign that things are slowing down.

I am actively searching for a new retail location for us and cannot wait to get back into the swing of things.  Our Online Store is still very much OPEN and as always we are still hooking everyone (U.S) up with FREE SHIPPING!!

Stay tuned for MUCH more info/product that will be dropping early 2018!  Happy New Years!  2018... IT'S ON!
